Associational Missionary

Randy K. Makemson was born January 2, 1956, in Cullman, Alabama. After graduating from Fairview High School, he attended and graduated from Clarke College, Newton, Mississippi in 1979. He finished his Bachelor Degree at Mississippi College, Clinton, Mississippi with a major in religion in 1983. He attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary from 1989 through 1991.
 
Brother Randy married the former Brenda Bradford of Philadelphia, Mississippi. They have two children, Jason and Jennifer. Jason graduated from Wallace State, Hanceville, Alabama, December 2004 and is married to the former Kayla Steele. Jason and Kayla have three daughters, Claire Lynn Makemson born October 2012, Caroline Jewell Makemson born April 2015, and Camryn Hope Makemson born September 2021. Jennifer graduated from Athens State University, December 2011 and is married to Jeremy Calloway. They have four children, Emily Faith Calloway born September 2014, Eli James Calloway born August 2016, and twins Ethan Jeremiah and Evan Matthew born October 2022.   
  
Brother Randy served as Church Activity Director for the summer of 1980. Since January, 1981 he has pastored five churches. In these twenty-four years, he pastored Good Hope Baptist Church, Springfield Baptist Church, and Elim Baptist Church. These churches were in Mississippi. In July, 1991, he moved to Cullomburg Baptist Church, Alabama before coming to Faith Baptist in Cullman, Alabama in 1993. He accepted the call from East Cullman Baptist Association to serve as Director of Missions in October, 2005.

Debbie Keaton

Ministry Associate

Debbie serves in our association office as full-time associate. Debbie has a degree from Wallace State Community College in Business Management.
 
She has been an active member of First Baptist Church of Fairview for more than 32 years, where she has served as Sunday School Teacher, Discipleship Training Teacher, Mission Friends Teacher, Discipleship Training Director, VBS Kitchen Coordinator, and WMU Director. Currently, she serves as WMU Director and Community Thanksgiving Meal Coordinator at her church, while volunteering for other activities throughout the year.  In addition to her activities at her home church, Debbie has been active in the ECBA WMU, having served as ECBA WMU Director for 7 years, and continues to serve on the ECBA WMU team. She is also a member of the ECBA Disaster Relief Team, having been trained in Administration and Mass Feeding.  She has served on several ECBA Construction Mission Trips.  Recently, Debbie accepted the nomination to serve as the 2nd Vice-President of the Alabama Association of Baptist Ministry Assistants.
 
She has two sons. Justin graduated from Jacksonville State University, where he received his Masters in Special Education. He works as a teacher of special needs students.  Kyle graduated from Auburn University’s Architecture & Design Building Science Program in May 2016. He works as a superintendent on commercial construction projects, primarily hospitals. He married Brooke Hamm Keaton in August 2016. Kyle and Brooke have two children, Brylynn Grace and Harlee Faith.  Debbie is known as Nonnie to her grandgirls, who bring her incredible joy.

Jason Vinson

Moderator & center grove baptist church pastor

Jason Vinson became the Senior Pastor at Center Grove Baptist Church on October 1, 2021. Jason began his ministry as a Summer Youth Worker at FBC Phil Campbell in Phil Campbell, AL in the summer of 1993 and continue on a volunteer basis in youth ministry at FBCPC for 2 years. He was called to preach in the spring of 1994. Since that time Jason has served in churches in Louisiana, and Alabama. Jason genuinely loves people and passionately shares the timeless truths of God’s Word Sunday after Sunday at CGBC.
 
Jason graduated with an Associates Degree in Science from Northwest Shoals Community College in 1996. Later, he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in General Studies from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1999. He has continued his educational pursuits by working towards his Masters Degree in Biblical Studies beginning at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary Extension Center in both Huntsville and Birmingham, and transferring to Liberty University’s John W. Rawlings School of Divinity.
 
Jason and his wife Jenny have been married since 1992 and have 3 sons, Austin, Caleb, and Matthew, and one daughter, Allison. In September of 2019 their son Matthew married Nikki Clines of Cullman and they have two children, Lukas and John Mark.
 
In addition to his pastoral ministry, Jason is currently serving as a Campus Coach for First Priority at Fairview Middle School. He has served as Chairman for the ECBA Evangelism Committee, ECBA Vice-Moderator for 2 years, as well as serving as a member of the ECBA Disaster Relief Team, and serving on the ECBA Constructions Mission Work Trips. He was elected Moderator on October 7, 2025.

David Hadley

Vice-Moderator & Antioch Baptist Church Member

David is a graduate of Fairview High School.  He has a masters of Business Administration he received from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.  He works as a logistics management specialist.  David is a lifelong member of Antioch Baptist Church, where he serves as Sunday School Director.  He is a licensed and ordained minister.  David is currently serving as the ECBA Personnel Committee Chairman.  He also serves on Committee on Committees, Advisory Committee, and Evangelism Committee for the Association.  David is actively involved in both his church and the Association.
